He later co-founded Inflection AI and joined Microsoft in 2024 to lead a new organization focused on Copilot and other consumer AI products.<\/p>\n<h2>Current role<\/h2>\n<p>Suleyman leads the direction of Microsoft AI and its consumer products. This does not mean that every Microsoft model or AI technology was personally developed by him; the work belongs to multiple teams and partnerships.<\/p>\n<h2>Controversies and public debate<\/h2>\n<p>The move of Suleyman and several Inflection AI employees to Microsoft, together with a licensing agreement, drew scrutiny from the UK Competition and Markets Authority over whether the arrangement functioned like a merger that could affect competition.
